'What if someone told you, you could have a holiday in southwest Ireland in the
middle of the countryside in a B&B with the friendliest of people in a beautiful farmhouse in excellent Irish country style rooms all being great value for money? Well it is all possible and more at Kilmaneen farmhouse Tipperary Ireland.'

Georgina Campbell's Farmhouse of the Year 2005

'....It’s an old house, but well restored to combine old furniture with modern comforts; the bedrooms are not especially big, but they are thoughtfully furnished and, like the rest of the house, immaculate.
There’s a great welcome and guests feel at home immediately - especially once they get tucked into Ber’s delicious dinners.
Genuinely hospitable hosts, homely comforts - including a log fire to relax beside after dinner and a large, well-maintained garden, where guests can enjoy the peaceful setting - all add up to a real country break.......'

Frommer's Ireland

'This sweetly decorated, relaxing farmhouse B&B is a real find. Set amid a  beautiful mountainous terrain, it's run with aplomb by Kevin and Ber O'Donnell.
Those who love fishing love Kilmaneen, as you can cast for trout here, into either the Suir or the Tar, without any permit required. You will be provided  with a fisherman's hut for tying flies, storing equipment, and waders. Kevin is trained in mountaineering and leads trekking and walking tours into the nearby Knockmealdowns, Comeraghs, or Galtee mountains.'

Millenium Farm Landscape Regional Award

Kevin entered a farm landscape project for a special 2000 Millenium Award.  It involved the transformation of an unattractive farm waste site into a landscaped area planted with several specimen trees.
This project was sponsored by the ESB (Electricity Supply Board) and the Irish Farmer's Association

RTE's Track and Trails

Kevin O'Donnell, Cormac McDonnell, Tracy Piggott and Ber O'Donnell during filming for RTE's Track and Trails
We really enjoyed the experience of having the film crew and guest presenters Tracy Piggott and Cormac McDonnell to stay with us while filming the programme Tracks and Trails for RTE which was shown on television in November 2011.

The Rough Guide to Ireland

'....But the nicest place to stay for miles around is undoubtably Kilmaneen Farmhouse between Ardfinnan and Newcastle......It's a remote gem in a little visited part of the country...with splendid walks starting right from it's doorstep.'
